NGC, The Graduates

National Glass Centre, The Graduates,  31st January- 31st July 2026

While in many ways it is an honour to be selected for this show, it is also tinged with deep sadness as when this show ends, so does the National Glass Centre, The Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, the BA, MA and PhD programmes in Glass and Ceramics and of course, the building itself will be lost.

Guildford House

The Guildford House Open, Guildford House, 22nd November- 28th February 2026

1290 pieces of work were submitted for The Guldford House Open, of which, 86 were selected. Kay feels truly honoured to have her piece, 'Looking Tower' selected and shown in this fabulous building.

 

 

Craft Market Kendal

Craft Market Kendal, Brewery Arts, Kendal 28th November- 30th November 2025

Selected as one of 35 skilled makers to hold a stall at this well established and well attended event in the beautiful setting of Brewery Arts Kendal.

 

Spotlight 2025

Washington Arts Centre, Spotlight Open 2025 13th November- 20th December 2025

Kay has been selected to show her work 'Pavilion Dreams' for this fabulous Open Exhibition. The work was inspired by Apollo Pavilion in Peterlee, designed by Vistor Pasmore and opening to the public in 1969, this structure represents something of the forward thinking, progressive, free and  hopeful attitude towards creative industries post WW2 and the freedom that generation had to create new, provocative and evocative forms without persecution.

The EDAN Gallery 'Bright and Beautiful' 18th November- 20th December 2025

Kay has selected 'skate' in response to the theme Bright and Beutiful. Skate was initially inspired by industrial design but gained a new meaning once made, this resulted in the finishing colours and textures of the piece being influenced by graffiti and worn the concrete of skate parks. Kay's work often features in EDAN Gallery and these works were created especially for this show.

Castle

The EDAN Gallery 'Grid' 26th August- 04th October 2025

'Castle' was created in response to the theme Grid, in which artists were asked to consider a particular place as a start point from which a grid could span out from. Northumberland is the post castle populated county in England. This piece comments on a historic landscape that has been shaped by humans over a very long time span.

The Platform Gallery 'Clay North Now' 21st July- 27th Sept 2025

As a member of Northern Potters Association Kay's work features in the 'Clay North Now' exhibition with seven of her pieces on display in the wonderful gallery space that is The Platform Gallery. This exhibition is put together every year by NPA with artists carefully selected to represent the diverse tallent within its community of artists.

 

 

'pool' exhibition

The EDAN Gallery 'Pool Exhibition' 03rd June- 12th July 2025

Kay's ceramic sculptures are a regular feature of the EDAN Gallery Seaham, where East Durham Artist's Network, a group which Kay is part of are based. Kay's 'Factories' featured in 'Monochrome' earlier this year and there are plans for more new art works to be created for specific shows throughout the rest of '25 and into '26. These particular pieces, titled 'Potholes' are a comment on how the condition of Britains roads are used as a pollitical weapon.

 

 

 

Cargo Fleet

The Heritage Gallery at Cargo Fleet, Middlesborough. 12th June- 11th July 2025

Kay's work is included in EDAN'S 20th Anniversary Exhibition. With four distinctive pieces taking pride of place in this amazing gallery space.

 

 

GNCCF 2025

Great Northern Contemporary Craft and Art Fair, Newcastle 20-22 June 2025

Kay Holborn Bond was selected alongside over 100 talented artistts and makers for the first GNCCF Newcastle. This was an amazing event, the like of which Newcastle has never seen before and which promises to become a major part of the culture of Newcastle.

Mudfest Cumbria 17-18 May 2025

Kay Holborn Bond's work featured as part of Mudfest Cumbria 2025. An event that celebrates all things clay and freatures demonstrations, opportunities to try throwing as well as showcasing the work of ceramics artists.
