About Kay Holborn Bond
Kay Holborn Bond has been shaping clay into art for more than two decades. Working from her studio in the picturesque County Durham, England, she draws inspiration from the industrial landscapes around her. Kay’s journey into ceramics began with a fascination for the tactile nature of clay whilst studying Art and Design at college which led her to further these studies at University, achieving BA First Class and MA in the subject of Ceramics.
Her expertise lies in using Black Stoneware, a rich, dark clay that serves as the foundation for her artistic expression. Through the application of engobes, slips and glazes Kay adds layers of depth and character to each piece, creating art that is as visually stunning as it is meaningful.
